Nanda, our recent Bounce member, played a minor but crucial role in a major cyber heist recovery, spotting the blackhat's mistake that led a team of white hat hackers to retrieve ~$150M in stolen virtual assets. The talk offers insights into handling complex cybercrimes.

"When $195 million in Ethereum was stolen from Jump Crypto, they faced a challenging decision. With a court order in hand, they collaborated with Oasis to execute a counter-exploit on the latter's smart contracts, aiming to recover the stolen funds. A huge, inefficient transaction exposed the hacker's mistake. Capitalizing on this lead, whitehat hackers discovered a vulnerability in Oasis’s network. This enabled the initiation of the recovery process, ultimately reclaiming the stolen assets.
